About the CSR Awards

2011 CSR Award winners announced on November 9th, 2011

Four awards will be presented in each of the three categories (for companies with 25 or less employees; companies with 26 to 100 employees; companies with 101 to 500 employees; and, companies with more than 500 employees). Eligible nominees must lead a company or organization whose head office is in Atlantic Canada, or who is in charge of a provincial/regional head office that has significant decision-making and organizational autonomy. The three categories are described below.

PHILANTHROPY/COMMUNITY OUTREACH – for support of social initiatives within the local community, and/or on a national or international basis.

HUMAN RESOURCES – recognizing significant initiatives to improve the working lives, safety, diversity or general well being of employees.

SUSTAINABILITY – for significant improvements in operations, production processes, resource requirements, recycling, product design, buildings and other infrastructure that demonstrably improve sustainability (e.g., less impact on threatened species, lower carbon footprint, increased use of renewable materials, etc…)
